Who are you?
I’m a specialist in orthopaedics and traumatology, working in the lower extremity unit in the Helsinki University Hospital. I’m also cyclist and a specialist in exercising while commuting. In my free time, I like spending time with my family and playing sports.

What is your role in FICEBO?
I am a researcher in a trial designed to study the efficacy of arthroscopic interventions in the knee joint.

Favorite part of your job?
My favorite part is those meeting-of-the-mind moments when I believe that I’ve achieved a common and thorough understanding with a patient about her/his issue.

Why did you decide to enter your field?
I was seduced by the incredible diverse range of medical questions that orthopaedics has to address.

Who/What inspires you?
People who are active and sincere in working towards their goals.
