Who are you?
I am an orthopaedic surgeon and researcher.  I split my time working at a community based University Hospital and a private clinic and on research studies.

I am an investigator in the FIDELITY and FIRST trials.

Favorite part of your job?
I especially like performing surgery for traumatic knee disorders, such as meniscus and ACL tears.

Why did you decide to enter your field?
After specializing as a surgeon this seemed like the part of a natural continuum to specialize in orthopaedics.

Who/What inspires you?
I am inspired by testing and rethinking  guidelines and treatment options.

Your favorite book and why?
J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lords of the Rings.  It is more than just a story in a book, but it is a whole fantastical history and a world invented.
