Throwback to Pihla’s PhD Defense

One major project, FINISH, is soon coming to its end. We are excited to share more news about this later. Now, let’s look back on another milestone that was reached along the way to the FINISH line. Here is a recap of Pihla’s PhD defense day. 

Pihla defended her doctoral thesis entitled Chronic Subdural Hematoma: Epidemiology, Mortality and Risk of Recurrence on the 28th of October 2022. The defense took place at Töölö Hospital lecture hall. Professor, MD, MBA Isabelle M. Germano from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York City, served as the opponent, and the custos was Professor Mika Niemelä.
